You're Invited...

All Brigham and Women’s Hospital clinicians, scientists and employees as well as Hackathon participants are invited to join us at the Hackathon kick-off event, Friday, September 12th from 12PM-8 PM at 45 Francis St., Cabot Atrium to contribute to our Idea Share Wall and network with fellow innovators.

The Idea Share Wall will provide people the opportunity to come and put one (or more!) of their healthcare pain points and challenges on paper, to provide insight to the hackathon participants.

We want to give everyone a “taste” of the hackathon spirit and culture that is helping to catalyze healthcare innovation over the following two days. We will be featuring a “Hack your Snack” station with make your own sundaes.

How It Works

1. Think about the healthcare pain points that you face in your field, and could improve with innovative thinking.

2. Print out the Idea Share Wall form and bring with you to the Hackathon Kick-off reception. We will also have forms available on site, so stop by to fill one out.

3. Come to the Hackathon Kick-off reception on Friday, September 12th and next work with other innovators that could help move your problem to a solution.

4. Stay for an ice cream sundae and hear from the clinician panelists who will dive into their challenges that align with the strategic goals for the Brigham over the next year.

If you cannot attend the event, but still would like to participate, email your Idea Share Wall form to ihub@partners.org.

At 5:30PM we will be hosting a panel discussion with Brigham clinicians and leadership from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts who will talk about their strategy and challenges looking forward at the year ahead.  When the Hackathon pitches start on Saturday morning, our hope is that participants will consider developing products/solutions aligned with these themes. Panelists will stick around for Q&A and networking with Hackathon attendees.
